This 140 Megapixel image was photographed at South Point on Sipadan Island over a 5 day period. The image is composed of over 50 individual frames making up the reef plus many more closeups of marine life.  Green and Hawksbill Sea Turtles abound here, along with White Tip Reef Sharks, Big Eye Jacks and hundreds of species of coral and reef creatures.

Jim Hellemn has made a career out of inventing ways to capture the spectacular colors and details of coral reefs. His images have appeared in National Geographic magazine, the American Museum of Natural History and are featured in several large-scale public attractions.
